Well, if you know me, you know that I live and breathe the theater. I have always been obsessed with the arts, having done ballet for years I basically fantasized about being Christine Daae’ for as long as I can remember. To me dance and theater just went hand in hand and the captivation that I felt for those things as a child didn’t go away, if anything, they deepened as an adult. So when my friend Jenna asked me to go to the Broadway in Pittsburgh Season Announcement event last night, I jumped at the chance. Ken Rice from KDKA was the MC and the event was chalked full of visual previews of the 2018-2019 season’s shows, as well as live performances from artists from the different shows.
I wanted to wear something feminine and Spring-inspired, while still dressy enough for the event, so I went with:
Nine West Wool Coat in soft grey: Salvation Army, $10
Striped bell sleeve top with floral embroidered details: Target, $8.99, off season
Pink dress joggers, TJ Maxx, $8
Tan d’orsay flats, Target, $19.99
I mean, who needs to look good with the gorgeous blooms happening in the background..
I love being down town, there’s something so invigorating about being in the city. This year I am committed to exploring my own back yard and lucky for me, my back yard is Pittsburgh.
